STL Blues ASL Awareness American Sign Language Shirt – A Meaningful Design Inspired by ASL Awareness Night
The STL Blues ASL Awareness American Sign Language Shirt is inspired by the team’s first ASL Awareness Night, held on April 14, 2026 against Pittsburgh. The event was created to support the Deaf and hard of hearing community, featuring an ASL-based alternate game broadcast, in-arena ASL presentations, and a special theme-ticket shirt that showed how to sign the team name in American Sign Language.
This shirt stands for more than fan style. Its design reflects inclusion, communication, and community pride. The origin of this concept also connects to Jake Neighbours, whose ASL advocacy helped bring more visibility to the initiative after his earlier ASL-themed hat designs quickly sold out and helped raise awareness for the Deaf community in St. Louis. A portion of proceeds from the ASL Awareness Night event was directed to DEAF, Inc., adding a meaningful purpose behind the design.
